Description: Enteric-coated aspirin is used as an anti-platelet to reduce the risk of heart attack and/or stroke. Aspec thins the blood, reducing the chance of blood clots. 
Aspec is enteric coated to help prevent the tablet from dissolving in the stomach straightaway. Instead, the coating will slowly dissolve in the stomach with the tablet finally breaking down in the small intestine. This helps prevent ulcers, which have been associated with long-term daily dose aspirin.
